At my job, I have to choose a lot of stock photos to put on webpages. I only have permission to use the free photos on one site, so it’s constantly the same people in every photo.
I’ve found myself starting to hate them.
They all have names and backgrounds in my head. I’m so tired of looking at them and their fake faces. They always do the same things. There’s never any new photos.
Let me introduce you:
I feel like they’ve become my workmates, as I see them almost every day. But they’re deceitful – constantly changing careers, roles and shirts. I would say I look forward to seeing what they come up with next, but I don’t look forward to it. If anything, having to work with the same stock photo site every day encourages me to quit my career and focus on becoming a stock photo photographer so I can give back to other workers, like myself, by providing them with a larger variety of models.
Watch out Judy and Not Kenny Rogers. Your days of stock photo dominance are numbered.

This is why people don’t trust medicine.
