This banana is MINE!

I was in the grocery store the other day when a man walked from the outside up to the cash register to show a banana to the cashier.  He then put it in his back pocket and began to shop.  It took me a second to realize that he was telling her that this banana belonged to him and he didn’t get it from the store.    Sure, makes sense.  You don’t want to get charged for a banana you didn’t buy there.

But I still don’t understand why a person would walk around with a banana in their back pocket.
